I really enjoyed hearing some classical guitar, especially when that guitar is playing an arrangement of Habanera! Bizet is wonderful, always. I appreciated the Liszt-style arrangement, I definitely caught on to the romantic nuances.
The playing was done well. There are some high notes and weak harmonics in the later portion of the song, but you did fairly well to make every melody heard and heard clearly. I missed the barcarole-like bass in some parts, I felt like it was swallowed up by the melody at times.
That said, I don't think any less of the performance. I did take off for the quality of the recording. I understand that this was right before your actual performance, and you didn't have much on hand (presumably). However, most audio editors have a tool to clean up a lot of that background noise -- it can be distracting at times. And, to be perfectly honest, this is something that deserves as little BG noise as possible -- you're an excellent guitarist.

So keep that in mind, and continue to study the greats. You've just performed one, and it's a very accomplished performance, at that.

Good vision on this song. However, I feel like the wobble was right in all the wrong places, and it just didn't have the smooth, flowing, or grooving wub that I like to hear. The droning lead was pretty appropriate, nice work on that.

awesomemann1234 responds:

Thanks for the feedback!
I kinda rushed through the wubs, which I usually don't do.
That's why it sounded off.
Thanks for that though!

This track hits hard. It's layered quite well, it's obvious you're a pro mixer. There's a nice smoothness in the sax lead -- almost jazzy. A very cerebral track, just cut the tail on the snare.

jpbear responds:

yea the only reason i didnt sign this was because the snare is way too long for club systems :(

thanks fer deh fthoughts

It's pretty good. I didn't like the lead as much as I would want to, but around 2:44 it picked up right before the end and became creative. The bass was nice and warm.

Like you described, it was a fun track

ZxOOxZ responds:

Thanks glad for the review, I tried to make it more House but ive never really been good at making house beats O.o :)

That was fantastic. My head was nodding the whole time, and you only used four chords (the majority of the time, was that an inversion in the bridge?).

The twinkling leads were fantastic, and the bass was perfect. Great job.

HyperTrough responds:

I raised the fourth chord by a minor 3rd and the little hold before the drop was an inversion of Em. Well spotted! :D

Thank you so much for your feedback! I'm thrilled that you enjoyed it :)

This was pretty great. You developed a nice sense of atmosphere, and the mood was conducive to that of battle. I could see this as song for an RPG game, it would work nicely.

MrBainbridge responds:

Always great to hear when People enjoy my music ^.^ and that was the goal, an RPG type sound :) thank you for the review ^.^

It could stand to be a bit tighter. Like, if you could quantize the notes and adjust them to the tempo.
Other than that, nice work.

thanks man i made it for my friends series so i just kinda threw something together but anyways...thanks fo the positive advice

You could definitely make an album of two-minute songs, punk rockers do it all the time and nobody gives a damn. So long as there's flow, there's a call for such song lengths.

I really liked it. Had a nice chill vibe, that was artfully noisy in the right places. There's a nice layer of tension you developed in the song, keep tapping into that.

Kamunt responds:

I will certainly try my best. I know that Smash Mouth did it with their debut album, but I don't have to be Smash Mouth. I can be myself, you know? :P I'm glad that you really liked it, though. I just don't know where to go with the song. That's my problem. But if you liked it, then that means that I'm on the right track! So thank you!

I definitely agree that it would sound good in the menu of a top-down or side-scrolling shooter. The detuned bell sample really gives a sense of mystery, and the driving beat was a joy.

Kamunt responds:

Thank you for the kind words! Now, to find a top-down/side-scrolling shooter...

A nice sound, thick and smooth. I particularly liked the beat, it made the song quite the head nodder.

Good work.
